Lise:
"Yo, Cassie, I'm *busy*, eh?"
"Iz, but, you love me."
Iz sighed, and looked at the ubercute
person staring at him. It just wasn't fair.
"...what do you want?"
Cassie bounced up and down, and did more of
the ubercute thing. Iz rolled his eyes, and thought momentarily about
stabbing them out-- if he couldn't see the charming girl, he couldn't
get roped into doing things for her.....
Rick sidled up, and whispered to him,
"Always the martyr-- you love this shit, Iz."
It was true. He did.
Smiling a little more benignly at Cassie,
he said, "Seriously, darling. What do you need?"
Cassie beamed, knowing that she'd won
completely. "Yay. Can you just set up the digital camcorder to the
station up there, so that it'll catch Alex when he comes by in an
hour?..."
Iz immediately looked suspicious again.
"...why?"
Cassie looked around, feigning innocence.
"Would I set him and Bobby up to be around at the same time so maybe
they could hook up?"
Iz started to laugh.
She added, "And besides. I would never want
to tape his blush."
Iz was gasping too hard to answer by now.
Rick and Ron, snickering over one of Iz's tapes of the last party he'd
been to, looked up and eyed Cassie and Iz suspiciously.
Iz choked out, "You know, I'm the one he's
going to blame for this."
Cassie beamed again, and nodded happily. "I
know. That's what's so brilliant about this plan."
Iz sat up straight all of a sudden, getting
into his business frame of mind. "When is he coming by?"
"About six."
"And Bobby?"
"Quarter to six."
Iz nodded, and started rooting around under
his terminal for extra digital cables and the tripod he kept under
there. The camera he was going to have to go out to Rick's car to
get--
"So... you'll do it?"
Iz nodded, and Cassie stood up, grinning
again. "This is going to be perfect."
Cassie walked away, giggling, as Iz
muttered, "As long as Alex doesn't hang me."
