Lise:
"So you guys are pretty
cuddly around here, right? Like... no secrets, no
shame, no holds barred?"
Cassie looked at Jubilee and rolled her
eyes. "Where on earth did you learn to talk like
that?"
She shrugged. "Ricky Lake. They say stuff
like that all the time."
Cassie went back to writing, and Jubilee
watched her for all of about thirty seconds before
saying again, "But-- you are, right? All of you guys
are kinda... open."
Cassie turned around and glared. "Jubilee."
"Yah."
"Are you going to ask me out?"
"..."
Cassie turned around again. "I'm trying to
get my work done, okay? --why don't you go and
ask Rick about open-ness. He's the one making out
with his gay friends." She grinned. "Or would you
rather not go there?"
Jubilee swung her legs back and forth. She
was sitting on the table, and her feet didn't even
touch the ground. "Naw. He's busy."
"Oh?"
Jubilee smirked. "Either Alex or Kallie
needed something, and Rick got dragged to the
back room by his ears. It looked serious."
Cassie didn't even look up. "Oh."
"--you don't think that sounds serious?"
"Jubilee, that sounds like a typical Tuesday
afternoon." She tried glaring again. "Now, *please*.
I have psych to learn and I have calculus to do and I
have less than three hours to do both. I'm sure Alex
and Rick won't mind if you burst in on them groping
each other. Why don't you."
Jubilee hopped off the table. "You're no
fun."
Cassie snorted. "I'm not groping my straight
friends in closets, no."
Jubes giggled. "But you do throw yourself
all over them."
Cassie flushed a bit, but snorted. "That's
different."
