Bobby joined the X-Men (a team of super-powered superheroes) when he was just a li'l tyke--somewhere in his teens (age varies, depending on which issue you read, but he was the youngest). He was one of the original five, though that number has since multiplied. Think "rabbits" and you'll start to get an idea of how much it's multiplied.

Bobby has the power to create and shape ice just by thinking about it, plus the power to be very, very resistant to the cold. That comes in kinda handy when you're coating your body with ice . . .

Of course, 'resistant to cold' doesn't mean he doesn't GET cold. It just means it doesn't hurt him. At least, that's my theory.

Bobby's best friend is Hank--a furry blue genetistist who spends most of his waking hours (and some of his not-waking ones, too) in his lab. Bobby grew up in the suburbs, in a nice area, then was nearly lynched (yes, lynched) when the populace found out he had these powers. He was sent to Xavier's school to become a superhero, and learn how to control his powers. He's a jokster, a prankster, a general goofball. He's had a few girlfriends, and his father hasn't liked many of them. His father is a bigot, and Bobby has a tendancy to bring home Asian girlfriends . . . it doesn't go over well.

Recently, Bobby's father stood up for him (no, no one is sure why he had a sudden change of heart) and was beaten very badly, ending up in the hospital. Bobby quit the X-Men (he's now about 24-26) and went home to take care of his parents. This is when Bodies of Water takes place. If you've never read the comic, then figure that they're going to keep having adventures and things, and whatever I mention is something that's happened in the comic book! (Though, admittedly, I changed a LOT of things to suit myself!)

Bobby doesn't lead, though there have been times when he's the only one around to do it, and he does a remarkable job. He's a sweetie, keeps his friends laughing and cares a lot about people. We liiiiike Bobby. For more on Iceman, go over to (un)Frozen, because Ali over there has an entire PAGE about him. And it's got a better bio than this, too. Her bio is actually {gasp} complete.

This pic was taken from X-Men 66 or somewhere around there.
