Right. Gen:BA was really popular. Really. So, I novelized it.
Logan, Domino, Nate, Kitty, Pete, Amanda and Kurt are replaced by a much smaller crew. Bruce is from Australia, Topaz is from the US, Josef is from Germany and Doc is from, originally, China, but grew up in the US.
The basic plot is essentially the same as Gen:BA. The above people used to work together, and though various ways realize that their old boss, Talon, is trying to create supersoliders with their, and many others,' DNA. They rescue the kids, complications arise, and so forth.
There are actually two books in the works right now. Generation: Talon takes us through rescuing the kids, realizing that Talon isn't going to just let them go, realizing they have super powers (Holy shit! is the general reaction to that one), and various hijinks. Okay, really I just like saying hijinks.
Generation: Talon is finished now. I'm still tweeking it, editing here and there, but overall I'm pretty proud of it. I'm in the process of finding an agent and sending it out; I'll update this when that process is done!
Talon, Incorporated is the second book. Here, they have to shut down Talon and deal with some of the crap that Pistol would have come up with in the series, had I gotten that far. Heh.
Both books are pretty dark and grim, a combination of horror, reality, and sci fi.
The kids have remained very much the same, but have grown as people and become more... I don't know. Realistic? Frightening? Resolved? Part of that is just that my own writing ability has improved (keep in mind I started Gen:BA eight years ago!). Pistol is frightening, Trace is still the person the whole team loves, Vault is twitchy, Constance is ruthless, Azul is the heart of the team, and Enchantment and Lynx were melded into one character, Amethyst. Am is a bit more like Lynx than Enchantment, but has the qualities of both.
When the book comes out, I'm sure you'll recognize everyone (and possibly even certain scenes--though they've been heavily altered!). My roommate and I agree Topaz rocks. Think Domino. With more humor. And, well, better. *laughs* Not that I'm biased or anything...
Anyway, I'll let you know when things start to roll. Keep in touch.

Mid-scene...
He screamed again. And again. And again.
And then he woke up.
"--fine, you're fine--"
He pulled away from the hands, twisting off the bed and crashing to the floor, landing hard on his knees. His T-shirt was soaked, clinging to his body like a parasite. He wrenched it off, ignoring the pain in his stomach. Trace threw it, listening as it hit the wall with a crack like wet meat and then slithered to the floor.
"You okay?" asked a deep male voice to his right.
He didn't bother answering. He sat back on his heels, looking down at his abdomen, touching it carefully with raw and abraded fingers.
There was a line from the bottom of his chest to the top of his belly button. Healing well, some part of his brain noticed objectively. Thirty stitches, all lined up in a neat row. Except for a middle section, where five were crooked and of different lengths. The skin was pulled, angry, and now bleeding slightly. He must have been thrashing.
"I thought you said two stitches," he managed after a moment, touching the five carefully.
"Five was better. And you were unconscious anyway."
He nodded and let his hands fall to his sides. His voice was nearly gone. Screaming? Maybe.
"Nightmare?"
Nightmare. Blue eyes narrowed briefly, but his mind refused to comply. It shied away from the dream, leaving him only with vague impressions of darkness and monsters.
"I guess."
The air conditioner was cool on his skin, his sweat rapidly drying. He stood--still shaking, damn it--and headed for the bathroom. Goosebumps rose on his white flesh, and he rubbed at one arm as if he could smooth them back down.
"You sure you're okay?"
He closed the door to the bathroom and leaned against it, trying to steady his breathing. "Great," he said through the door. "I'm fine. Go back to sleep." His voice was still ragged.
