"Here."
Gaara blinked down at the open book that was suddenly on the table in front of him, and then up at his sister, slightly bewildered. There was a faint blush on Temari's cheeks, but she looked determined, jaw set, hands on her hips.
"Your brother refuses to explain these things to you, so I guess this is the next best thing," She shot a quick glare over her shoulder at Kankuro, who was sitting sulkily on the kitchen counter, holding an ice pack to his swollen, bruised cheek, "It should answer any questions you have... Alright?"
Gaara seemed to consider Temari's words for a very long moment. He glanced back down at the book before him, studying the words and diagrams without bothering to read anything. And then he nodded.
"Alright."
Temari and Kankuro waited anxiously, watching their little brother read. His reactions to the text were minor at best. The tiniest widening of his eyes, the faintest wrinkling of his nose. Better than either of them had ever handled sex ed.
When, finally, he flipped the book shut, they both jumped.
"This doesn't help," He stated in monotone, eyeing Temari suspiciously. She stared back at him in utter confusion.
"What do you mean it doesn't help?" She demanded, puffing up slightly, "I checked it! It explains everything!" Gaara simply shook his head, expression solemn.
"I have no desire to put mine inside of a woman," He replied flatly, noticing the drain of colour from his sister's cheeks. He tilted his head a bit, patiently awaiting her response. Obviously, if Kankuro understood these things, Temari would too. She was a whole year older.
"You... don't want to...?" She sounded oddly strained, her left eye twitching minutely. Behind her, Kankuro choked back a laugh, stuffing a knuckle between his teeth to muffle the sound.
"I think..." The youngest sibling paused for a moment, choosing his words carefully, "I'd like to put it in Uzumaki Naruto."
... Well. He'd never heard Temari make that noise before.
"I tried to tell you..." Kankuro muttered.
