No One Else
Hey-Diddle-Diddle

Iruka stepped into the room and smiled at Kakashi. Kakashi nodded from his seat on a window sill, tugging down his mask to smile back.

“You’re back. Where were you?”

The chuunin stretched his arms up over his head, rolling his shoulders and sighing as they popped. “Just got back from a mission. You missed me?”

“A bit,” Kakashi said noncommittally.

“A bit?” Iruka was next to Kakashi now, pulling the jounin up to his feet, and when he laughed the sound went straight to Kakashi’s heart, the teacher’s breath hitting the copy-nin’s ear and neck. “I was gone for over a week, I think you missed me more than a bit. Didn’t you?” He leaned forward, nipping the ear, and Kakashi leaned closer.

“Maybe more than a bit,” he said, almost breathlessly.

Iruka moved his lips and attention to Kakashi’s neck, sucking and licking his way closer to Kakashi’s lips. “Of course,” he practically purred. “You always do, don’t you?”

“Uh-huh,” Kakashi said, this time more than breathlessly. Iruka laughed against his jaw then stopped, straightening up to look towards the door. “Iruka,” Kakashi whined, pulling Iruka’s face back towards his own.

Iruka complied, leaning forward to kiss Kakashi softly, gently, a brush of lips against lips. Kakashi nipped at Iruka’s bottom lip impatiently and the chuunin laughed again, pulling away to kiss the jounin’s nose quickly. “Later, Kakashi.” He grabbed Kakashi’s hands, turning him. “Tonight, maybe.”

He growled, low in his throat, and bounced on the balls of his feet. “But-”

“Kakashi-san?”

He whirled around, pulling up his mask. “Genma-san, Raidou-san.”

Genma was chewing on his senbon absently, looking at the papers in his hands, and Raidou was looking at Kakashi, narrowing his eyes. “Who were you talking to?”

“What? Iruka, he just got back from a mission.”

Genma looked up then, raising an eyebrow as he moved the senbon from one side of the mouth to the other. “Where is he, Kakashi-san?” he asked mildly. Kakashi looked around wildly for a moment then swore, at a loss.

“He was just here…”

“Kakashi-” Raidou began, falling silently when Genma elbowed him in the ribs.

“He probably just went home, Kakashi-san, if he just got back from a mission,” the long-haired jounin said calmly, smiling. Kakashi nodded, feeling a little disoriented.

“You’re probably right.”

“Of course I am. Just go home and see.” Kakashi nodded again and followed Genma’s advice, brushing past them to leave the room.

“Genma,” Raidou asked, looking around the room, “who’s Iruka?”

“Shut up, Raidou,” Genma advised, pulling the older man with him as they left the room, too. “Just don’t say anything about it, alright?”

!-!-!

Iruka laughed from where he was lying on Kakashi’s bed, dark hair unbound and spread around him in messy tangles. “I told you not to tell, Kakashi. You weren’t supposed to tell anyone.”

“I didn’t,” Kakashi argued, dragging his fingers through the dark hair, slowly untangling it. “But I don’t understand why I can’t tell anyone, anyways.”

Iruka knelt then, crawling into Kakashi’s lap. “Because it’s a secret,” he whispered in Kakashi’s ear, nipping the lobe gently. “You’re supposed to keep secrets.”

And Kakashi, alone in his room, smiled and nodded. “A secret,” he said to the wall, laughing. “I like secrets.”
